Professional Services Bargaining Unit secures tentative agreement
December 13, 2019
SGEU’s Professional Services Bargaining Unit (PSBU), which represents non-academic staff at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, has secured a tentative collective bargaining agreement.
The bargaining unit has been without a contract since July 1, 2016.
“This agreement is long overdue,” said Deb Zawada-Wiebe, vice-chair of the PSBU bargaining unit. “We represent members who all work incredibly hard to contribute to the success of our institutions across the province.”
The new agreement is in line with recent agreements that have been ratified and covers approximately 700 members.
Ratification vote meetings are scheduled to take place in early January 2020. Details of the agreement will not be released publicly until the ratification process is complete.
