Greetings from the education desk!

The education team extends a heartfelt thank you to all participants who joined our newly developed LD 10, 11, 20ABC, and 30-level courses in the past year. We are proud to announce that the first group of graduates from this new series completed their courses in October 2024. Congratulations to all 2024 LD graduates!

We also want to express our gratitude to labour relations officers, member facilitators, the Education Learning & Development Committee and support staff across the province for their time and expertise in enhancing our course content and supporting member development.

In 2024, we introduced several new and revised learning concepts, including:

  • Enhanced conflict resolution strategies
  • Promoting psychologically safe workplaces
  • New member orientation training
  • Note-taking and meeting representation support
  • Harassment legislation knowledge
  • Pre-grievance and disciplinary grievance work
  • CBA language interpretation
  • Bargaining table/union-management committee simulations
