Bob Sass Occupational Health and Safety Award
Congratulations to Lorna Hamilton on being the recipient of this year’s Bob Sass Occupational Health and Safety Award.
Lorna is a continuing care assistant at Kelvindell Lodge in Kelvington. For the past 26 years, she has been passionately making workplaces safer. Lorna is a past Worker Co-Chair of the Occupational Health Committee at Kelvindell Lodge, and the chair of SGEU’s OH&S Committee.
Lorna works tirelessly to create a strong culture of safety in her workplace. She seeks to educate everyone she meets about health and safety standards and she does so with creativity and humour. Last year, she was a recipient of the WorkSafe Saskatchewan Safe Worker Award.
Lorna’s dedication to improving the health and safety of her workplace is an example of her selfless character. She is not only concerned for herself, but also for her colleagues, the residents of Kelvindell Lodge, and their family members. She is an inspiration to us all.
Once again, congratulations, Lorna!
