As the holiday season approaches, I want to take a moment to reflect on the spirit of generosity and kindness that shines so brightly this time of year. It’s a time to gather with loved ones, celebrate traditions, and create new memories. But it’s also an opportunity to extend our compassion to those who may be facing challenges during the holidays.
I am continually inspired by the generosity of SGEU members. Whether it’s donating to local food banks, supporting charitable causes, or volunteering to help those in need, you remind me of the power we have when we come together to make a difference in our communities. These gestures are a testament to the values we hold dear – solidarity, compassion, and the belief that by standing together, we can create a brighter future for all.
The holidays are a time for hope, and as we look toward the new year, I am filled with optimism about what we can achieve together. 2025 promises to be a year of continued progress, and I have no doubt that with the strength of our members, we will continue to make great strides for workers and their families.
So, as you gather with your loved ones, I hope you find joy, warmth, and peace. May you take time to rest, recharge, and share kindness with those around you. And know that, as always, your union is here to support you – today, tomorrow, and in the year ahead.
