The month of October is proclaimed as Disability Employment Awareness Month. It provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the employment barriers that many people with disabilities face, and promotes strategies and services that eliminate these barriers ultimately creating more inclusive and diverse workplaces. Across the country, community members celebrate the incredible contributions person who experience disability make to our workplaces and communities.
