As a union member you are entitled to a wide range of rights and benefits through your collective agreement. In addition, SGEU has member owned and operated benefits plans that are among the best in the province, including long term disability benefits, insurance, pensions and legal services. These plans have been created by the members for the members.

The SGEU LTD Plan is owned and operated by the SGEU membership and provides benefits for eligible claimants of 80% of net income.

SGEU’s Portaplan offers: Term Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, Young Adult Security Insurance, and Dependent Life Insurance. Our rates are amazingly low – and they are the same for men and women!
